I am currently studying at TU DELFT (MSc Architecture, Urbanism & Building Sciences), doing my second master degree in the track: Management in the Built Environment.

My first master degree was also in TU DELFT in the track of Architecture. My specialization- thesis project is in heritage related projects and public buildings. Though throughout the years I have experience working with different types of projects.

I am a Part 1 graduate of the Kent School of Architecture. Since my first year in university, I have been utilizing my time during the summer breaks by working as an intern at K. Kyriakides & Associates. Through my experience in this practice and seminars I've attended, I have managed to gain significant experiences and improved my architectural thinking and skills on designing, computer software and model making.

During my internships in an architecture practice I have experienced working on large scale urban projects such as hospitals, museums and extension projects. These have helped me enhance my architectural knowledge, skills and the personal skills such as communication and team work. Being a friendly, confident and energetic person and my interest on the subject has helped me easily adapt in new working environments and cooperate successfully with employers, colleagues and clients.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Teaching assistant at TU Delft, course: Real Estate Management

Part 1 Architectural Assistant at K. Kyriakides and Associates: July 2015 - September 2016:

As a Stage 1 graduate I am currently working in the same firm for the third time; only this time as a Part 1 assistant. Being more experienced, I am now being assigned more important and complex tasks.

After studying the drawings of the new extension ward of Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens, as well as the ones for the two extension projects of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, I observed, recorded and photographed the process of their construction. Apart from the above, I also had the opportunity to be part of the team which was appointed to prepare the design, drawings and models needed for a new project (Specific references regarding the competition cannot be given due to firm's policies). As I took part in this project from Stage 0, I had the opportunity to be part of the design team and gain experiences after collaborating with experienced architects. During this period I enhanced my architectural design skills as well as my IT skills using Sketchup, Revit, Autocad and Photoshop.

 Projects involved:

• Extension wing- Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens- Phase B’. (5.500 m2, 7 operating theatres)

Stages: Pre-construction phase- Completion.

• American School of Classical Studies in Athens- Museum Extension (8.600 m2)

Being in the practice for more than two years in total, I have managed to follow the complete life cycle of four projects (from early design phases to completion).

Internship at K. Kyriakides and Associates: June - September 2014:

In my second internship in the architectural firm K. Kyriakides and Associates I undertook multiple tasks that enhanced my architectural knowledge, experiences and my IT skills on Revit, AutoCAD and Sketchup. As in my previous internship with the firm, I continued contributing and observing the building process of the extension ward of Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens (an extension ward that houses, 14 new operating theaters, scrub up, resuscitation, sterilization rooms and office spaces). I observed, recorded and photographed the process of its construction until its completion. After the site visits, I attended the aforementioned meetings between the architects, engineers, project managers and contractors. I also helped with the research for the appropriate medical equipment that was needed for the new ward. While working with a group of architects we surveyed the Emergency Department ward of the Evangelismos General Hospital, needed for a future renovation project. I also closely followed the process of the design for an extension to the Athens Eye Hospital, as well as two extension projects for the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. Furthermore I was assigned to design the construction site signs for these projects.

 Projects involved:

• Extension wing for the Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens- Phase A’. (12.000 m2, 15 operating theatres)

Stages: Construction phase- Completion.

• American School of Classical Studies in Athens- Museum Extension (8.600 m2)

Internship at K. Kyriakides and Associates: July - September 2013:

During my internship in the architectural firm K. Kyriakides and Associates, I gained broad experiences by undertaking multiple tasks and taking part in office activities. I observed meetings between architects and a vast number of building- related experts, studied technical and construction drawings and assisted in model making. During my internship I closely followed the firm’s largest project at the time, the extension wing for the Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens, Greece from the stage of demolition to early construction stages. This helped my overall architectural skills as I studied technical drawings of architectural and constructional disciplines, attended weekly meetings with senior architects, engineers and hospital experts. During that time I also attended a BREEAM seminar, about environmental designs. I enhanced my IT skills on Revit and Sketchup.

 Projects involved:

• Extension wing- Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens- Phase A’. (12.000 m2, 15 operating theatres)

Stages: Demolition, Pre-construction till early construction phase.

• American School of Classical Studies in Athens- Museum Extension (8.600 m2)

Interests and Personal Work

Art and Exhibition: Art has been one of my main interests since my IB studies. I have enjoyed creating Art pieces, both in 2D and 3D, such as canvas painting and sculptures. I have taken part in an end of year exhibition show during my final year of the IB course.

Travelling: In my life I have travelled to many European counties and in the US. In these trips I have managed to experience multiple cultures and the architecture of these countries.

Sports: I have been a captain of a basketball team for three seasons, which has helped me develop my teamwork and leading role skills. I have been also swimming and playing tennis for many years, as these allow me to be an active and competitive person.
